Embryology Safety Message

Alison Coates
Alison Coates, PhD, Embryology Lab Director

You may have heard the story of the University Hospitals IVF clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, who recently had an issue with their storage tanks in which embryos and eggs are stored. While we do not know the exact details of what happened at the IVF clinic in Cleveland, I would like to reassure anyone who has eggs or embryos or sperm currently in storage here at Oregon Reproductive Medicine, that we have multiple safeguards in place to prevent a situation happening like this in our own lab.

If you have any questions or concerns about the safety of our storage system, please contact me at [email protected] and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
