Oregon Reproductive Medicine Welcomes Dr. Thomas E. Fisher to the ORM Family
New physician joins world-class medical team at Portland-based fertility center –
PORTLAND, OR (March 2, 2017) – Oregon Reproductive Medicine (ORM), a recognized global leader in fertility, has announced the addition of Thomas E. Fisher, DO, to the ORM medical team. Dr. Fisher is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. Prior to joining ORM, Dr. Fisher was in private practice in Spokane.
Joining the ORM team brings Dr. Fisher full circle, having completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Portland and his doctoral work at Oregon Health & Science University. His doctoral research focused on the role of vitamin D in infertility and his findings have been published in multiple medical journals. He has presented his work at several industry conferences, including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Endocrine Society annual meeting and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, where he received the Giorgio Pardi Foundation SGI Plenary session prize award.
“I am thrilled to be back in Portland, joining one of the most sought-after fertility centers in the world,” said Dr. Fisher. As part of his focus at ORM, Dr. Fisher looks forward to furthering the dialog around fertility struggles. “As a society, there’s a stigma around infertility. Opening the doors to more communication about it will help normalize the experience for those who are facing reproductive challenges.”
Oregon Reproductive Medicine has been helping people grow their families since 1989. With some of the highest success rates in the world, ORM is home to an internationally recognized team of doctors who have advanced the field of fertility. Over the past 25 years, ORM has become one of the most sought-after fertility centers in the world, with people from over 40 countries and nearly every state in the U.S., coming to ORM for their reproductive needs.
“It is an honor to welcome Dr. Fisher to ORM as a fabulous addition to the ORM team. His passion and desire to help people of all types to realize their dreams of parenthood are in perfect alignment with the ORM mission and core values.” said Jake Thielen, Director of Operations at ORM. “The addition of Dr. Fisher will allow ORM to continue to serve our patients as the need for fertility services continues to expand both locally and globally.”
Beginning this month, Dr. Fisher will be accepting new patients. He is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
