Thank you for deciding to help an infertile couple`s dream come true.

Becoming an egg donor starts with filing out the Online Application. Should you qualify the next step involves filling out a lengthier application and submitting three recent photographs of yourself. Remember, these photos may be shared with potential recipients, so please make sure that they are of good quality and represent your best physical features. Most applicants submit digital photographs however hard copies are acceptable. We make every effort to return these prints to you, however, we are not responsible for lost or damaged photographs.

You may also request an application by calling our office at 503-243-7760 or by sending us an  e-mail.

When received, your application will be reviewed in our office. If you meet our criteria, and your application is approved, you will be added to our active donor pool. You are then available to be chosen by a recipient couple.

What it Takes

You wait. You wait until the right match is made between you and a recipient couple. Once selected, the egg donation process will begin:

  •     You are scheduled for routine pre- egg donation medical tests and an educational meeting.
  •     You are placed on birth control pills for 1-2 months, or until cycles can be synchronized with the egg donor recipient.
  •     You will be taught how to take your medications, some of which are given by self-injection.
  •     A pelvic ultrasound is performed to determine whether you are ready to begin fertility medications.
  •     You begin ovarian-stimulating medications, which are injected daily for an average of 9-13 days.
  •     During this time, you will have several brief office visits for ultrasounds and possibly blood tests to assess your response to the medication.
  •     You come in for egg collection, a minor 20-30 minute procedure.
  •     You receive your compensation.
