Administration

Oregon Reproductive Medicine's seven member administrative team is lead by our executive director Steve Parker.

Executive Director

Steve Parker is the executive director for Oregon Reproductive Medicine and The Reproductive Medicine Laboratory. He has many years of experience in healthcare management. Most recently Steve headed up The Children's Clinic.

Director of Nursing

Andrea Speck-Zulak, RNC, Clinical Nurse Manager RN, NP, San Jose State University. After starting her nursing career in labor and delivery, Andrea Speck-Zulak has spent the past two decades as a women’s health nurse practitioner, specializing in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Her work has taken her to both academic and private practices. At Stanford University, she served as IVF and Donor Oocyte Clinic Manager, in charge of the program during the introduction of new technology.

Laboratory Director

Alison Coates, BSc, joined Oregon Reproductive Medicine in 1999 and directs the day-to-day operations of the Reproductive Medicine Laboratory. She has many years of experience in the field of clinical embryology and has had hands-on experience with over 6000 In Vitro Fertilization cases. Alison is also highly specialized in micromanipulation techniques such as ICSI. Alison worked at one of the most prestigious in vitro fertilization clinics in Europe at the Hammersmith Hospital, London. In 1991, Alison moved to Leeds in the north of England where she established and directed one of the largest in vitro fertilization laboratories in Great Britain, carrying out over 1500 cycles of in vitro fertilization per year. Alison was born in Nottingham, England, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Hull University in 1987 where she specialized in reproductive physiology.

Director of 3rd Party Reproduction

Alexis Kibgis came to Oregon Reproductive Medicine in 2011. She brings over 10 years of healthcare managerial experience to her position. Most recently Alexis managed a team of financial counselors in 7 states.  Prior to this she was the business manager for a large pediatric practice with multiple locations in the Portland metropolitan area. Alexis has a BS in Social Science from Portland State University and volunteers for the Citizens Review Board, where she oversees children in the foster care system.

Front Office Supervisor

Heather Barnes, BA.  Originally from the Greater Philadelphia area, Heather relocated to the beautiful Pacific Northwest to earn a degree in Sociology at Lewis and Clark College.  After completing her studies and deciding to make Portland home, she worked in the administration of a Natural Health Center before returning to school at Portland State University to pursue one of her other long-standing interests: Biology.  At PSU she was awarded a Graduate Research Assistantship in a lab studying membrane proteins of heart cell mitochondria.  Continuing with a laboratory focus, she began working at Oregon Reproductive Medicine as an Andrology technician in 2006.  Eventually, wishing to merge her interests in sociology and biology, she transitioned out of the lab and into Patient Relations.  In this position, Heather has the opportunity to draw from each of these fields of study to assist new patients in making an informed and easy start at Oregon Reproductive Medicine. 

Business Office Controller

Justin Gray heads up our business office and is an excellent resource for our patients with questions about insurance, billing, and finances. He has been with the practice since April, 2001. Justin is a Certified Professional Coder and has a clinical background as a Combat Medic with the Oregon Army National Guard.

Marketing Director

Jonathan Kipp joined Oregon Reproductive Medicine as the Marketing Director in March, 2007. His work background is in niche publishing, advertising, marketing and freelance writing.

Jonathan has a BA in Journalism, a BS in Biology and is currently pursuing his MBA at Northeastern University.
