Women’s Fertility Retreat

Women’s Fertility Retreat,   November 4-6

Trying to conceive?    Fertility challenges can be compounded by emotional stress, relationship stress, and physical stress on the body.  We invite you to join experienced leaders Carol Knoph, M.Ed., LMHC,  and Lynn Jensen, RYT, MBA  for a relaxing weekend in the country, learning their empowered approach to fertility.    This workshop is appropriate for women who are currently trying to conceive, either naturally, or through assisted reproductive programs.   You will leave the retreat calm and refreshed, with a new, positive perspective on your journey to conception and motherhood.   The Retreat includes:

*Daily Yoga for Fertility practices
*Instruction in mind/body techniques for stress reduction and fertility enhancement
*Presentations on current fertility topics and fertility approaches, including fertility nutrition, complementary treatment modes, lifestyle choices, exercise and other topics.

Location: Mosswood Hollow Retreat Center, Duvall WA  www.mosswoodhollow.org.  Mosswood Hollow is  a beautiful, rural retreat center east of Seattle, famous for their hospitality and fabulous, healthy cuisine. 

Cost: $350 per person, includes Workshop sessions and all meals starting with Friday dinner.  (Lodging is booked separately through Mosswood Hollow.) 

 

Carol Knoph, M.Ed., is a licensed mental health counselor, who trained in mind/body medicine at Harvard Medical School’s Mind/Body Medical Institute, with additional training from Alice Domar, Ph.D. in mind/body medicine for fertility.  After dealing with her own fertility issues, Carol has taught mind/body medicine for fertility in the Seattle area since 2004.  She is also Chair of the Washington Affiliate of Resolve: The National Infertility Association.
 

Lynn Jensen, RYT, M.B.A., is a registered yoga instructor and yoga therapist, who has been teaching in Seattle for over 12 years.  She founded the Yoga for Fertility program in 2002, and since then has helped over a thousand women and couples struggling with fertility issues.   She offers weekly Yoga for Fertility classes in the Seattle area, as well as weekend workshops and private instruction.    Lynn also developed a Yoga for Midlife Women program for a National Institute of Health- funded study on the effect of yoga on hot flashes.   Her teaching is based on 13 years as a yoga instructor, having studied with internationally-known instructors, and her personal experience with fertility challenges.
